Qudits built a Power BI reporting service with live dashboard for a cantonal administration, providing daily automated evaluation of resource utilization and supplier management data.
Situation
Building the data warehouse in parallel with the conversion from WebAPI to SQL. Besides evaluating a large amount of data, it is also necessary to understand the inner logic behind the data sets, define new KPIs and CPFs and calculate them. Additionally, cardinalities have to be set and entities have to be created.
Solution
Creation of a service roadmap and building of the Power BI Reporting Service starting with requirements engineering, documentation and business analysis, through development and design of the dashboard, to testing and quality control. Responsible for stakeholder management and clarifications with subject matter experts/developers for Matrix42 interface.
Impact
A Power BI-based live dashboard visualizes collected data records and calculates KPIs as well as CPFs on a daily basis. The dynamic, automated evaluation provides an overview of data (e.g. resource utilization, supplier management) that was not possible before. Data quality has been significantly improved.
