Situation
Data from nine sites is to be migrated from the existing intranet solution to SharePoint, including critical data that falls under compliance guidelines, Chemical Weapons Convention (CWÜ) and data from a corporate unit that was sold in parallel.
Solution
"Clean-up" or deletion of obsolete and no longer required data. Analysis of data to be migrated with special focus on technical limitations and re-organization of the data structure on newly created SharePoints incl. permission settings. No interruption of daily operations due to efficient migration planning. Execution of data migration and communications to all users.
Impact
Migration of all data from existing intranet solution to SharePoint improves and/or enables online collaboration. The maintenance effort is significantly reduced and the overall data quality is increased through prior "clean-up".
