Qudits managed the migration of 20 applications and 30 databases to a new server environment, handling simultaneous data center relocation and decommissioning of unused applications.
Situation
The support of an outdated database is coming to an end, requiring all data to be migrated to a new server environment. Simultaneously, a data center is being relocated and its databases must also be migrated.
Solution
Project management and coordination of all migration activities: identification of responsible persons, conducting kickoff meetings per application, scheduling migration dates, ensuring prior adaptation of applications, software packaging and subsequent testing. Accounting for scope changes due to applications to be decommissioned.
Impact
Migration of all databases and associated applications to a new server environment meeting the latest standards. Long-term support for databases secured. Applications no longer in use were decommissioned and corresponding data archived (clean-up).
